What are common blocks you run up against as a remote manager and what do you do to get around it? What tools do you use to remain aligned? How often do you have meetings? Are there specific traits that a remote manager needs? Thanks
There are many hurdles when it comes to managing remote teams such as daily meetings, deadlines etc.
At Springworks, we over communicate with our people. We use Slack as a channel for communication and nearly all our work is online saved up in Google docs. This helps us to keep everything in check and get everyone involved in the project.
Here’s a message our CEO tells us about communication in the below Linkedin message:
Remote team should self managed: https://signalvnoise.com/posts/1430-hire-managers-of-one
Remote workers should be enough serious and professional for get the work done.
The only kind of manager a remote team needs, is a product manager for know product vision and strategy.
